Frequently asked questions

Where do I start?
With KNOWLEDGE — Whoa & Safety, our 90-minute foundational orientation. It's required before our other Equine-Assisted Learning experiences, and you can book a date on our Book an Experience page. If you book a Half-Day, Full-Day or Retreat Experience, the orientation is built right into your day — no separate booking needed.
Do I need any horse experience to participate?
No. Every Root & Rein program is designed for complete beginners — no prior horse experience is needed. Our facilitators guide you through everything.
Is there any horseback riding?
No. All activities are ground-based — you are never asked to ride. The learning happens through interacting with the horses from the ground in a safe, supportive setting.
Who is Equine Assisted Learning for?
Individuals, couples, families, teams, and organizations — anyone seeking personal growth, stronger relationships, confidence, communication, leadership, or connection.
Where is BellaSoul Farm located?
On 88 acres in Tellico Plains, Tennessee, serving the East Tennessee region including Sweetwater, Madisonville, Vonore, Maryville, Knoxville, Cleveland, and Chattanooga.
