About Equine Assisted Learning

What is Equine Assisted Learning?
Equine Assisted Learning (EAL) is an experiential, ground-based approach to personal growth that uses structured activities with horses to build confidence, communication, leadership, emotional awareness, and connection. The learning transfers directly to everyday life, relationships, and work.
Is Equine Assisted Learning the same as equine therapy?
No. EAL is educational and facilitator-led, focused on growth and skills. Equine-assisted therapy is clinical treatment delivered by a licensed mental-health professional. EAL is powerful personal growth, but it is learning, not therapy, and isn't a substitute for professional care.

Getting Started

Do I need any horse experience to participate?
Not at all. Every program is designed for complete beginners and fully guided by our facilitators. No prior horse experience — or any experience around horses — is needed.
Is there any horseback riding?
No. All activities are ground-based — you're never asked to ride. The learning happens through interacting with the horses from the ground in a safe, supportive setting.
Who is Equine Assisted Learning for?
Individuals, couples, families, teams, and organizations — anyone seeking personal growth, stronger relationships, confidence, communication, leadership, or connection. We also offer women's workshops and youth-friendly sessions.
